Frequently Asked Questions

How long is each session?

A typical session is 50-60 minutes in length. Depending on a client's needs, sessions may also be 30-45 minutes in length.  Family sessions are most often 60 minutes in length.

What insurances are accepted?

The practice accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Choice, and United Behavioral Health (UBH) insurance plans. Our office submits claims to insurance companies that we are in-network with but not those we do not have an existing contract with (out of network). Many insurance plans allow members to see a provider that is “out of network” and receive partial reimbursement for those services. If your insurance plan does cover providers who are out-of-network, you may be able to send receipts/invoices directly to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Depending on the information required, we may be able to provide you with the supporting documentation that your insurance company would require for you to submit claims to your insurance company. We recommend that out of network clients contact their insurance company prior to scheduling an appointment to determine what services will be covered.

What is online counseling?

Online counseling allows clients to meet with a counselor using a secure platform for live and interactive video conferencing.  It is secure and private, costs the same as an in-office visit, and is often covered by insurance.

What geographical areas to you serve?

We see clients from all over the Chicagoland area for in person sessions as well as online sessions.  Our office is conveniently located in Clarendon Hills and near Hinsdale, Western Springs, La Grange, Oak Brook, Oakbrook Terrace, Westmont, Downers Grove, Burr Ridge, Willowbrook and Elmhurst.
