Compassionate Counseling for Women’s Mental Health
Mental health disorders can affect women differently. Some mental health disorders are more common in women such as depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. There are also certain disorders that are unique to women such as postpartum depression, perinatal depression, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, and perimenopause-related depression.
Why Women’s Mental Health Matters
Major life transitions such as pregnancy, motherhood, and menopause can create physical and emotional stress for women. Negative life experiences such as infertility and perinatal loss, discrimination, violence, and divorce also impact women’s mental health and well-being.
